Blackburne Farm – Residential Community

The original stone home was built in 1916 by William Dickerson, a well respected horse trainer for the Harriman family. Jim and Ruth Ottaway purchased the property in 1960, converting and expanding the building into Ottaway Corporate Headquarters.

Unlike many older buildings that evolve over scores of years, each expansion complimented the original architectural style. Converting the building into unique, individually styled boutique residences was quite a challenge and each had to be treated in a way that would preserve the structure’s unique character and live together in visual harmony. Utilizing distinctive architectural details and finishes, each residence commands an identity all its own.

Blackburne Farm is expanding with plans to build 17 custom-built single family homes, along with 12 unique townhomes, designed for comfortable living in a neighborhood setting. Numerous amenities including an exercise facility, event room, community gardens and a dog park will be integrated into this Active Adult Community.
